Obituary

Evan passed away suddenly, early in the morning on March 9, at the age of 31. Evan was a lifetime resident of Bellingham, graduating from Bellingham High School and then Highline Community College.  He worked with his parents and sister at the family business, Scrap-it  for the last 10 years.  Evan lived every day to the fullest.  He loved hunting, fishing, motor-biking, raising lamb, and even farming oysters!  He was known for his energy and mischievous sense of humor, keeping everyone around him on their toes.  He was full speed ahead, all the time; his enthusiasm was contagious.  Evan was a kind and generous soul who loved his family and friends above everything; his greatest wish was to have a family of his own. Evan is survived by his parents Brian & Lisa Parberry, grandparents Gene & Fredlyn Wiggins, sister Erin Parberry and niece Maya Lynn, sister Danielle Parberry, his uncle (friend &brother) Anthony Succa and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Linda Vaughn, “Mayor” Lou and Sue Parberry, his uncle Paul Wiggins, and brother Derek Turner.  Donations can be made to the Boys & Girls Club in Evan’s memory.

  2. We were extremely sad to hear about Evan. I remember Evan as a bright and funny kid, and my stepson’s best friend. Through good and bad times, I know Evan was always there for Nick, and life will not be the same without him. To the family of Evan, please know that your son/brother will be missed and remembered, and that he did make a difference in his friends’ lives…our thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
