Obituary
A Native American Church prayer service will begin at 5:00pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am on Wednesday, October 24. All services will be held at the Wexliem Community Building.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Essie was my dearest wi hum pa wi or daughter in law. I will never forget meeting her when she was fourteen years old in the tipi. She was with Wayne and attending Chemawa. I saw how beautiful her spirit was and she was filled with grace. Later I was blessed to have her and Wayne live in my home with Janaya. Those years were a blessing. She let me love my takoja Janaya. Little yaya was my son Solomon’s playmate. We were all part of one big family. I remember Essie’s joyful and loving spirit. We went to many tipi meetings together as a family and prayed together. I also sponsored meetings in my home where we sat up together. Over the years we stayed in touch through FB. My last words to Essie were “I love you to the moon and back.” That was about a week and half ago. I am so happy I was able to tell her how much I loved her before she left this world. My deepest prayers of healing for the family and for her children during this most difficult time. Essie was like a sweet little bird who always had a song in her heart. Heaven got an angel.
