Additionally, Elle leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.  Cj, Hailey, Devyn, Brooke, AnneMarie, Statton, Madelyn, Fynlee, Isaiah, Annecy, Kenya, Elijah, Olivia, Alex, Chandler, Nick, Lexee, Jaden, Ty, Reese, Taylor, Kylee, Davis, Mia, Scout, Jane, Crew, Parker (and their mother, Kiffen). Alex, Hannah, Pepper, Ella, Christian, Zack, Jared, Tyler, Emily, Elsiana, Sander, Molly, Lukas, Susanna, Ari, Enzo, Isabella, Olivia, Owen, Grace, and Ethan.

Elle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Delos and Mary Rowe, Beth and Ross Davis, and niece AmberLyn Kapetan.

Part of Elle’s childhood was spent in Bellingham, Washington where she attended Irene Reither Elementary.  After a move to Orem, Utah she attended Cherry Hill Elementary, Lakeridge Middle School and Mountain View High School.

Her passions in adolescence were song and dance.  Elle’s voice was sweet and gentle and fully expressed her inner spirit.  She would often sing at family gatherings. The joy she found in dance kept her spirits light and brought bliss to all those who had the privilege of watching her perform.

Elle graduated from the Skin Science Institute of Laser and Aesthetics and thrived in her practice as an esthetician. As a lifelong learner, with an inquisitive streak, Elle enjoyed mastering the latest technologies and treatments to best serve her clients. Elle’s six sisters certainly benefited from her expertise in this area.

After graduating aesthetician school Elle moved to St. Louis and later fell in love with Alfonso.  Much of Elle’s time was spent doting over Alfonso and his six children, of whom she was very proud.  Elle supported Alfonso in his career and in his passion for BMX dirt bike racing. Elle loved traveling the country to cheer him on in his races — eventually taking up BMX racing herself, for a time.

Elle’s relationship with God was important to her.  Life provided experiences that could have challenged or complicated Elle’s relationship God, yet she remained constant in her love for and reliance upon that higher power.  Elle had a simple and unwavering faith in Jesus and His ability to heal. This was a beautiful example for many of us.

Elle beamed with pride for each of her nine siblings.  She was fiercely loyal to her siblings and enthusiastically curious about the intricate details of their lives. Elle remained in constant contact with her siblings until the end.  Elle found so much joy being among her siblings. Their lives will be painfully incomplete without her.

Elle was her mother’s baby — always by Deanne’s side, looking up at her, in her lap or holding her hand.  Even in adulthood, her mother’s lap was Elle’s favorite chair. Her mother was a source of comfort and peace that transcended life’s struggles.  Elle and Deanne carried each other through difficult times. There is no end to their love.

While Elle loved her large, sprawling family and adored Alfonso, anyone who knew Elle understood quite clearly that her heart belonged to Matthew Johnson — her superhero, buddy and stepbrother with down syndrome.  Likewise, Matthew adored Elle and learned to count on her for comfort and support. He will miss her dearly.

Elle is also survived by her mini poodle, Nash, who was the apple of her eye. The two were inseparable.  Elle kept Nash, quite literally, close to her heart.

Most recently, Elle turned her creative focus toward, journaling, gardening and cooking. She also wished to write a book one day using her adversity as inspiration.  She loved working in her potted garden which gave her peace and purpose. In her kitchen, she explored recipes from all over the world. In her spare time, Elle enjoyed being out in nature, going on walks, running, decorating her home, kayaking, and phoning her loved ones.

Elle will be remembered for being a cheerleader to everyone, having a pep-talk in her back pocket, loving without condition, being her nieces and nephews biggest fan, being humble and teachable, making us laugh uncontrollably, giving mindful attention to her loved ones and her big heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the many happy memories you shared together be of some comfort to you in the days ahead. And may God’s promise to soon undo ‘all tears, pain and even death’ (Rev. 21:4) bring you peace. A visit to JW.org can offer much encouragement and consolation. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
