Elizabeth (Betty) Lee, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2012 at Hospice House in Bellingham, WA. She was born June 11, 1924 in Hopkins, MN to John and Ruth Boyle. Betty married Adrian (A.B.) Burdette Lee June 9, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN and enjoyed 46 years together until Adrian’s passing June 5, 1991. Together they raised five boys, Dennis (Black River Falls, WI), Jim (Leesburg, VA), Rick (Redmond, WA), Gary (Bellingham, WA) and Jack (Bellingham, WA). Betty leaves behind numerous daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mom was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived life in the same way that she loved us all, with incredible strength and grace. Mom will be missed greatly, celebrated in our thoughts everyday and will leave an everlasting smile on our souls for the rest of all our lives. Mom’s ashes will be placed with Dad at a private ceremony at Ft. Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Whatcom Hospice House. To the loving Sons & all the dear Family & Friends may I offer my sympathy in the painful loss of your dearly loved Betty. She was a wonderful woman who had the love of her Family and all those she met along the way in her life.Hopefully you will find a measure of comfort & peace in the following Bible Verses. Rev21:4-5 “AND HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES AND DEATH WILL BE NO MORE THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY.”

  2. I would like to express my sincerest condolences. My mom, Arlene Johnson and Betty were great friends. My Mom misses her so very much. She always said that Betty raised five nice boys and their families are all so good to Betty. I am happy for all the years of friendship Betty shared with my Mom. I share in your sorrow at her passing. I pray for God to give you peace. Sincerely Nancy Johnson
