Obituary

Elina Lou Salisbury

Elina Lou Salisbury passed away on June the 28, 2012, after fighting valiantly her battle with what appears to be our common enemy these last days, cancer. Born April 25, 1935, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the next to the oldest of eight children.
After marrying Harry Salisbury, a strapping young lad still in the Navy, in 1953 at the ripe old age of seventeen, she gave birth to two boys, Allen Dean and Robert Anthony. Shortly after marriage to Harry, she was visited by Jehovahs Witnesses at her door and began studying the Bible with them. She passed away a faithful and dedicated Witness of Jehovah of over 57 years. Her longtime partner in marriage preceded her in sleep four years earlier. Both of them loved each other, their God, and their family very much and their affect on us, emotionally and spiritually, will last a lifetime. The grandchildren, Patrick and Jensen, have fond memories of working alongside their grandparents and Madison (Maddie), their great granddaughter, will miss her visits up at the house at the end of the lane.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Doug and Dalton Spann. Elina is survived by her brothers, Kenneth, Sonny, and Harold Dean; sisters, Francis Jepperson and Nadeen Fisher; sons, Robert and Allen (Sally); grandsons, Jensen (Katie) and Patrick; and great granddaughter Madison.

A Memorial will be held on July 14, at 7:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 1525 Electric Ave., Bellingham, WA.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 2901 Squalicum Pkwy, Bellingham, WA, 98225.
