Eleanor R. Sims passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on August 29, 1940, Eleanor dedicated much of her life to her family and community. She graduated from the Bellingham School District and spent many cherished years as a devoted housewife. She especially enjoyed lunches with her friends and family, where her warmth and laughter could always be felt.

Eleanor had a friendly and kind heart that touched everyone she met. “It takes an angel to raise a family—and she was ours,” her loved ones shared.

She is survived by her sons, Ivan E. Sims, William A. Sims, and Frank E. Sims, as well as her sister, Eleana Samuelson. Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward W. Sims, her brothers, Larry Delvandahl and Bernie Delvandahl.

Eleanor will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
