Obituary
Bellingham, WA
Eileen R. Rutherford Voight Johnson, 91, passed away in Bellingham on September 21, 2013. Eileen was born to Thomas and Clara (Bruland) Rutherford on 11/22/1921. She married Charles Voight in 1956 and after his passing in 1978, married Harold O. Johnson in 1980.
Eileen had many hobbies and interests, which were centered most around her cherished family. She enjoyed family reunions and gatherings, was a fan of the Mariners, liked traveling, baking and canning, bowling, gardening (especially fuschias), sending greeting cards, and crocheting. Eileen volunteered for many years at the Whatcom County Polls She was also a secretary for Bloedel Donovan and Brooks Lumber Co.
She is survived by daughters Sally L. Voight of Moses Lake, and Kay A. (Craig) Ramey of Lynden, sisters Phyllis (Don) Wilson of Ferndale and Pat Clark of Folsom, CA, brother Thomas (Hazel) Rutherford of Blaine, granddaughter Jessica (Jeff) VanBeek of Lynden and great-grandchildren Jeorgia and Jenner VanBeek, grandson Josh Ramey of Ft. Lewis and great-grandchildren Lucas, Jace and Kian Ramey, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Eloise Rutherford, and first and second husbands Charles Voight and Harold Johnson. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Orchard Park Assisted Living and the Whatcom Hospice house for all of the support and help they provided.
