Obituary

Edward Leo Nicholson, age 54 of Lynden, WA passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 25, 2015 in Deming, WA. He was born in Seward, Alaska on February 17, 1961 to Floyd L. Nicholson and Mary Rickteroff.
Ed enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, and hiking. Ed was a very giving person, he would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he enjoyed telling stories. He loved to cook and thought his cooking was the best!
Ed was a jack-of-all trades, but spent most of his life as a carpenter and mechanic.
He was a happy go lucky person and loved to tease people. He was loved by all and we will miss him terribly.
Edward is survived by his long time partner Mary Warren; ex-wife Leah Zapata; sons Jedadiah and Eric; grandchildren Sincere, Alicia and Ava; brothers Richard, Dave, Ernie and Floyd; sisters Wanda, Mary, Ruth, Karen, Doris and Shirley; and many other loving family and friends.
A viewing service will be held on Monday, Nov. 2nd at Moles Farewell Tributes, Bellingham, from 11:00am-3:00pm followed by a dinner at 4:00pm at Rutsatz Community Building in Deming. All are welcome.

I’m so sorry for your loss! Did you know that soon you’ll be reunited with your loved again! The bible says at John 5:28,29… “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to resurrection of life… How comforting that is to be with your loved one again! www.JW.org

  2. We’ve known Ed about 24 years. We are best friends of Eds brother Ernie and his wife Billie Pattee. Ed was a really nice guy. We remember lots of smiles from him. We live I n Montana 20 years or so and whenever we came back we could see Ed and it’s like we never left. We are honored to call him our friend. May he rest in peace. Condolences to Mary and his children and brothers and sisters.

This is hard for us all without Ed his get rich he would buy but now looking back when standing out in the garage working on mowers talking to his first girlfriend Mary Jane who he was friends with and still maybe today. He was richer than a man with all the money in the world the thing he taught us and the way he is that help make us a family though we don’t see each other each year he was the strong stoner for the next generation to keep our family stong. To Miss Mary Warren I’m glad he took my advise and let you in to his heart I knew you would make him happy thank for being his friend and a part of family he built for the time he was with us.
