Obituary

Dorothy Eleanor Iversen, 91, was reunited with her beloved husband again on Thursday, December 13, 2018. A lifetime resident of Whatcom County, she was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother – always caring for others. She was a lifetime member of Garden Street Methodist Church, avid bowler, coupon clipper, adored road trips with her husband. She loved to play Bingo, watch Wheel of Fortune, and donate to slot machines, and was an animal lover of all kinds – especially dogs, and loved shortbread and See’s Candy peanut chews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, John Iversen; leaves behind son, Barry Iversen; daughter Carol (Larry) Werle; grandchildren, Jennifer Iversen, Michelle Newton, Amy Iversen, Kevin Iversen, and Shaun Werle. Also, eight cherished great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whatcom Hospice House (2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham).
