Obituary

Dorothy Dee Clark passed away at the age of 90 Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her
home in Burlington, Washington. Dorothy was born January 18, 1925 in Van Buren, Missouri to parents James Hanger and Flora Della Chilton.

She married Thomas Gordon Clark May 24, 1945 in Lynden, Washington. She and Gordon moved to Burlington in 1978. Before moving, they lived many years in Ferndale, Washington.

Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress. She made her own clothes, also her children’s and grandchildren’s clothing. She grew many flowers and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed attending the Burlington Senior Center and she made many friends there.

She is survived by children Vickie Fenstemacher of Raymond, WA and Richard (Marla) Clark of Longview, WA. ; grandchildren Jennifer ( Brad) Beckmann, Carla and Ian (Liz) Clark; great grandchildren Joshua Clark, Bayley Gregg and Curtis and Derek Beckmann. She was preceded in death by husband Thomas
Gordon (2006), and eight brothers and sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 23, at 1:00 P.M. at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Drive in Ferndale, followed by a reception in the Greenacres Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Cancer Society in memory of Dorothy.

  1. Sorry to hear about Dorthy’s passing. I have not seen her since they left Ferndale, along time ago. So you know who I am, I was a second cousin to Gordan, on my Mother’s side. My Mother Opal House Sanders, was a Niece to Gordan’s Mom, Edith House Clark. I remember picking Strawberry’s, for Gordan, and Dorthy when they lived on the Trig Road, in Ferndale. The Farm is now covered with New Homes.Warmest Regards…
