Doris Barr

Doris Eileen Barr passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012. She was 81, born August 13, 1930 in Ferndale, WA to George and Helen (Waugaman) Sturgis.

Doris graduated from Ferndale High School and attended Bellingham Business College. She married William Barr. The couple enjoyed playing cards with friends in their earlier years, and camping and traveling in their 5th wheel trailer. Doris worked for many years at Whatcom Medical.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William, and son Randy.

Doris is survived by her children, William (Stacey Fredrick) Barr, Dena (Kevin) Eastman; grandson Nicholas (Melody) Eastman; sister Hazel Omli; and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 20, at 2 PM, at Light and Life Christian Fellowship.
