Donnalee Dawn Acosta, 55, of Sudden Valley, Bellingham, WA, passed away on October 18, 2021. She lived in 6 States; Southern & Northern CA, LA, AL, CO, AK & WA. After moving from Anchorage she lived in Washington for the past 13 years. She died of lung cancer, even though she was a non-smoker. She is survived by Spouse, Marcus, Son Remy Acosta & by her siblings; Donna, Donald, Darren, Darrel, Douglas Danlag, Justina & mother Alegre Milaor. She was a Home Care Aide with specialties in Alzheimer’s & Dementia patient care in Whatcom County. Food Services for Skagit Valley Hospital & Life Care Center Sedro Wooley. She happily volunteered for 8 years at the surgery desk at Anacortes Island Hospital. She also was a CNA in California for a total of 18 years in healthcare. Service with love & kindness was her vocation, as she greeted you with a bright smile. She Graduated 1988 Academy Pacific Business & Travel College, Los Angeles, California, with High Honors A.A. in Flight Attendant. She clipped her wings after meeting her future husband at Pasadena City College swim class she never left for her flight attendant career. Later, she was a substitute teacher at Woods Adventist Academy & teacher’s aide at Children’s World, both in Aurora Colorado. When children came home to their parents, they acted polite, after she gave them love & attention, like they were her own. If you saw a white Jeep Wrangler JK in Whatcom & Skagit Counties, you would see her furiously waving at fellow Jeeps. Services to be held on Tuesday November 2nd, 2021 at 12 noon Bellingham Adventist Church, 5321 Waschke Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226. Burial at Bayview Cemetery to follow.
