Delbert Orlin Flinn passed away peacefully on August 28, 2015. He was born in Bellingham on November 10, 1928 to Grover and Almina (Sargent) Flinn. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1946. Delbert served in the Korean War, receiving two purple hearts.
Delbert had a passion for fishing. He was a great cook and loved to eat. He went out for breakfast with his friends every morning and he attended his class luncheon’s every month.
Delbert loved playing cribbage with his family, playing solitaire for relaxation, going to library to pick out his favorite books, and watching the Seahawk and Mariner games.
Delbert is survived by his wife Sandy; sons Brad (Anne) and their children Alex and Frances, Chris (Teresa) and their children Morgan and Molle; son-in-law Bill Nance (Cherie- deceased) and their children Christian (Jennifer) and son Gier, Lissa (Jeff) Bryn; brother Jim.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise and his brother Larry.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to Whatcom Hospice House or Trinity Lutheran Church.
