Obituary

Daisy May George was born on May 22, 1963, to Leonard and Leona Lane. Daisy married both the twins Donny & Ronny George. She was enrolled in the 13th Regional Corporation in Alaska and Lummi Nation. Daisy attended the Ferndale School District. She finished 11th grade.

Daisy was always strong-minded and a beautiful woman. Her personality was very outgoing, the boss, protective, very blunt, loyal, and spiritual. Daisy loved everybody she came across. Everyone knew she wasn’t scared of anyone.

She grew up fishing the Nooksack River. Some days she loved stealing her brother Frankie’s boat to go fishing. Daisy and Roberta (Birdie) were always mistaken for twins because of how close they always were. She loved to play bingo, go to the casino, played stretch tickets, beading, picking apples and berries. She loved collecting pop bottles and then, headed to Tommy Baker’s. She loved collecting jewelry, earrings, and coins. She loved to go garage sailing. Her favorite food was cabbage and corn beef.

Her favorite place was to be at the beach with her family. She raised her boys Thomas and James to be strong and always taught them to love one another through the good times and the bad times. The love she had for her boys was endless.  They were her everything.

James and Thomas’s favorite memories of their mother is just being with her, and watching their favorite show dragon ballz, eating popcorn and candy together. They always remember her by beautiful smile. Another favorite memory is growing up with their mom and living at the brown house on Smokehouse Road. Their favorite place will always be at the beach together. Melvin’s favorite memory is always seeing his moms smile on her face every time he would see her.

Daisy will always be remembered for her smile, her laugh, and the way she carried herself.

She is survived by her children: Melvin Johnson, Dan Cagey, Danielle Cagey, Tammy Fry-Misanes, Ashana Lorenz, James George, and Thomas George Siblings: Rachel Lorenz, Frank Lorenz Lane (Penny), Nona Lane, and Leona Lane. Grandchildren: Aiyana Johnson, Castiel Johnson, Sebastian George, StormieFeather Fry, Dennis George, Skylee Misanes, Payton Cagey, Kailoni Cagey-Carter, Nazoni Cagey-Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
