Obituary

Cynthia Victoria Williams, age 70, died on August 29, 2021. Cindy was born on May 27, 1951, in Bellingham, WA, where she lived her entire life. The 3rd of 6 children, she is preceded in death by her parents Tom and LeVoun Williams.

She attended and graduated from Sehome High School in 1969. Working as a caregiver and then as a dietary clerk, she retired after over 30 years from the hospital (St. Joseph/Peace Health).

Generous and quick witted, she was kind and friendly to everyone and endeared herself to all who met her. With her comical come-backs and sense of humor, she made work and difficult times lighter. If you were her friend, bottom line, she was faithful and devoted.

Cindy enjoyed shopping for bargains and watching her tv programs. But what she loved more than anything was visiting with her family and friends. Cindy will be missed by those she leaves behind. Her son Aaron was the light of her life and his greatest gifts to her were her grandson Zack, and granddaughter Emily who lovingly called her “Nana.” She is survived by her siblings, Judy of Bradner, BC, Mark (Kim) of Camino Island, Stepanie of Bellingham, Beth of San Juan Island, and Bert (Lissa) of Bremerton, as well as her loving son Aaron and the grandchildren.

Cindy loved dogs, especially her two mutts Sebastian and Sonny plus all the other mutts that came before them, she spoiled them all. In lieu of flowers please consider a kind donation in her name to the Whatcom Humane Society, a cause that was near and dear to her heart.

A gathering to celebrate her life will take place on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm a the VFW Hall, 625 N. State St., Bellingham, WA. Please join us in person, through messages, or however you choose to share your stories and honor this incredible woman. If you were blessed with knowing her, consider your life enriched.

We started out as co workers at SJH way back in 1978 and over the years became good friends, staying in contact after retirement, I was so happy to see her just a few weeks ago. Aaron and Cindy’s siblings and grand children we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief, may your memories bring you comfort. We now have a special guardian angel to watch over us. She was definitely one of a kind .

I met Cindy in 1978 when I went to work at SJH, we weren’t immediate friends, I don’t think she liked me very much , she dubbed me “Goodie 2 Shoes” we eventually became good friends into retirement and beyond. I am so glad I got to see her just a few weeks ago. To Aaron, Cindy’s siblings, grandchildren and her very best friend ever Alicia Hickman we send our deepest condolences and prayers. Remember all the good times ! Now we all have a new guardian angel to watch over us.

To Aaron and the family: I’m so sorry for your loss. Cindy and I were good friends. We also met at SJH dietary department . She had a great sense of humor, which is why I think we connected so well. Cindy would do anything for anyone who needed help. She was very thoughtful and always remembered everyone’s birthdays. She was a great source of entertainment at work, with her daily sketches and good humor. I will miss her dearly as I know many others will as well.
