Obituary

Curtis Curt Tippie was a life long resident of Whatcom County. He was born January 25, 1950. Curt attended grade school, junior high, and high school in Bellingham. He graduated in 1968. Curt worked at Bellingham Cold Storage for many years.
Curt loved to go for walks and listen to 60s and 70s music. His favorite movie was One flew over the Cuckoos Nest.
Curt fought a life long battle with mental illness which lead to recent health issues. Curts family loved and cared for him his whole life.
Curt is survived by his father Ray C. Tippie of Bellingham; brothers Ray R. Tippie (Carol) of Blaine and Jeffery D. Tippie (Linda) of Bellingham; nieces Jen Quesada of Ferndale and Nicole Lawshe of Florida; trusted friend Linda Struck of Bellingham.
The family would like to send a special Thank you to North Cascade Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Curt.

Farewell Tribute Information

A graveside service will be held at Bayview Cemetery on Monday September 15, 2014 at 1:00PM. Pastor Gary Shoemaker of First Christian Church will be officiating. A reception will follow at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Dr., Bellingham. Donations Information

  1. Curtis and I were good friends during high school. I have fond memories of him. We lost touch with each other after high school. I shall always remember the good times we had. One of the last things he said to me was “I’ll probably go to ‘Nam”. I hope he didn’t have to. See you in Heaven, Curt.

    My husband Cecil was a roommate of Curtis’s when he was at Evergreen Extended Care. He enjoyed Curtis and Curtis made Cecil’s stay much more enjoyable. He was so nice, had a great sense of humor and helped the stay to be easier. Please accept my condolences at your loss.
