Obituary
On December 21, 2024 Conrad Teske passed away with his loving wife by his side, in a room filled with friends, family and love.
Conrad is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Robyn, son-in-law Brenin, and his three cherished grandsons, Jackson, Sullivan and Sebastian Newberry. Conrad is also remembered by many cousins, his close family by marriage, who were like siblings to him, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Eileen Teske, his in-laws Peter and Gunda Esch, brothers-in-law Jim and Peter Esch, and baby daughter Kelli Faith Teske.
Conrad was blessed to have his passion in aviation become his life-long career. His adventurous spirit took him flying as a bush pilot, on floats and skis, all over Northern Canada, and even visiting the family’s cabin at Lac Des Isles, Saskatchewan. He went on to have a successful career with United Parcel Service as a Captain of 747s and other jumbo jets, which he flew all around the world.
Conrad’s greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family, whether it was going to movies, eating in restaurants or mercilessly spoiling them with his grand shopping sprees. He was truly the host with the most, opening up his home to company, with delicious meals and merriment. He also deeply loved staying connected with his friends and family, both near and afar, with his exuberant phone calls.
Conrad was born in York, Nebraska, raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and later moved to Bellingham, Washington. He wholeheartedly embraced his life in the Pacific Northwest, exploring the surrounding islands in his ocean boat, Kitty, and skiing at Mt. Baker. One of his favorite places to spend time, biking and fishing with his grandsons, as well as walking his big dog, Tiny, was Whatcom Falls Park. His home away from home, in Trout Creek on Lake Okanagan, was also one of his favorite places to enjoy life, boating, water skiing and hosting the ones he loved.
Conrad’s funeral will be held on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at Evergreen Cemetery 16102 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6A2. An open viewing period will begin at 1pm, the services will be at 2pm, with a reception to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held in Bellingham, WA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The AIROW Project, an organization that has supported Conrad’s youngest grandson in enjoying all of the recreational activities he too loved during his adventurous life. www.airowproject.com

My deepest condolences to Margaret and family, and to all of Conrads many friends. Wildman, you lived your life on your terms. I first met conrad in the 70,s . He had a k900 bike and I had an MGB. We would trade for the evening as I was usually working. The girls liked the car better. 30 plus years passed and the phone rang , and I instantly recognized the voice. We spent time after that, reliving our youth, and simpler times. Conrad you were your own man, always lots going on. They say the best time to leave the party is before or ends. Thanks Conrad for the memories.

The most interesting people in life live loud and large. That was Conrad. Those post flight, hours long phone calls were epic. Conrad turned us on to boating when we bought his boat the Kitty-what a high seas adventure that boat was! When we think of Conrad, we think of planes, boats, wine, dogs, guns, family and that mischievous smile we will miss. Our hearts go out to Margaret, Robyn and all the family he loved so much. xoxoxo Kim & Jerry

Sending our sincere condolences and best thoughts to Margaret, Robyn, and all the family. We have many fond memories of fun times (and political debates!) with Conrad. He was full of life, bombastic, a great host and, most of all, it was always clear how much he loved his family and spending times with them and with friends. His grandchildren brought him so much joy! He will be missed 🕊️💕
