Obituary

Colleen Carol Devine Coen, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 22^nd of September 2021.

Colleen was born in Santa Monica, California on May 11, 1928. She, with her husband Charles “Chuck” Coen raised five children in Manhattan Beach, California where she enjoyed her family, time on the beach, camping and hiking the trails of Sequoia National Park. She and Chuck moved to Lake Samish in Bellingham, Washington after his retirement from the MBPD in 1976.

Colleen spent much of her time painting and helped to form The Sandy Point Artists. She painted many beautiful oils and watercolors.

She is preceded in death by Chuck, her husband of 60 years, who passed in 2005, and is survived by her five children and their spouses: Wade and Ginger Coen, Mike and Sue Coen, Tim and Joanne Coen, Dan and Cindy Coen and Mindy and Jim Jorgensen. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and one Great-Great-Granddaughter. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
