Charlotte L. Chandler

Charlotte LaVonne Chandler passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 in Bellingham, WA. She had throat and lung cancer.

Charlotte was born on January 1, 1941, to Harold and Olive Schreier in Burwell, Nebraska. She graduated from Burwell High School in 1958. She moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she met and married Ralph Chandler, Sr. on April 23, 1962. To this union were born two sons.

Charlotte has lived in Nebraska, Indiana, Ohio, Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington.
She cleaned offices and individuals homes. She was a nurses aide for over 20 years. She worked at Norbell and Mt. Baker Care Nursing Home and for home health agencies.

Her interests included knitting, crocheting, reading, and volunteering. She volunteered, crocheted and knitted scarves, hats, mittens and afghans for various organizations in Bellingham.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents; grandparents; parents; sister Carolyn; brother Larry; son Jeffrey; nephews Marty and Donnie.

She is survived by her sister Charlene (Tim) Stapp of Longmont, CO; sister-in-law Norma Schreier of Burwell Nebraska; her ex-husband Ralph, Sr. of Bellingham, WA; son Ralph, Jr. of Bellingham, WA; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews who all loved her and will miss her.

  1. We are sadden by Charlotte’s death because of the emptiness and void she will leave behind to her family, relatives and friends. We pray that God will give you all His peace in this time of need.

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time, at the loss of a mother, sister, and cousin, also a friend….. I met Charlotte many years ago through our sons. May the good Lord bless the family in the coming days……Rest In Peace dear friend…….
