Charles “Chuck” T. Wolters, age 72 of Custer, WA passed away peacefully on January 14, 2017. Chuck was born in Everett, WA. He graduated from Montclair High School in Montclair, CA.
After graduation, he proudly served in the US Navy onboard the USS Agerholm. In his free time, he enjoyed doing classic car shows and driving his 63-split window Corvette. He was a member of Fourth Corner Elites Classic Car Club and the Corvette Club. He also loved to spend time with family playing cards. He loved to help single moms and kids who were in need, both monetarily and with kind words.

  1. We have been honored to walk thru Chuck’s cancer fight with him; and now saddened that he has lost the battle and is no longer with us. We’ve known he an Sharon since one day at the Custer Post Office (about 30 yrs. ago) he offered our youngest son an after school/weekend job twisting the wire to make cages for his dog run business. A friendship evolved thru business and our love of cars.He is one the kindest, gentlest & most generous men we’ve ever know. It is a privilege to have know him & we will miss him greatly.
From all of the Haugness Family.

I briefly knew Chuck, running into him at local events and having my father introduce us. He was very witty and clever, smart and warm-hearted. I am surprised to hear about his passing, but I am glad to know he is at rest, peacefully.
