In Loving Memory of Charles “Chuck” Beaman

Charles “Chuck” Beaman, a beloved husband, father, teacher, and adventurer, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Chuck was born on March 29, 1940.

On August 7, 2002, Chuck married Sylvia Kyburz, in a joyous ceremony in Reno, Nevada. Sylvia now resides in Birch Bay, WA, cherishing the memories of a marriage filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.

Chuck’s favorite pastimes included participating in the Ski to Sea races for several years, where he found exhilaration in the thrill of competition and camaraderie. Together with Sylvia, he embarked on the rewarding journey of building a home in Anthem, creating a haven filled with warmth and love. The “Big Dog” wedding and the lighthearted tradition of “feeding the ducks” marked joyous milestones in their lives.

An elementary teacher by profession, Chuck’s commitment to education extended beyond the classroom, leaving an enduring impact on the community he served. For 30 years, he dedicated himself to shaping young minds as an elementary teacher in Ferndale, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students. He was known for his stubborn determination, kindness, and an ever-helpful spirit that touched the lives of those around him. Chuck’s contented happiness and strength resonated in every aspect of his life.

Chuck found solace and joy in various activities, including running, cycling, reading, and windsurfing. However, his deepest passion was reserved for the water, particularly the ocean, where he found a sense of peace and connection.

Chuck’s greatest love, beyond the water, was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sylvia, and his children: Chris Beaman (Jan), Larkin Beaman, Windi Tillman, Karen Tillman, and Bryan Tillman (Talitha). His grandchildren, Megan Seawater (Derrick), Kodey Jefferson (Dakota), Tira, Bryce Tillman (Kalli), Jamisen Tillman, Persephone Tillman, and great-grandchildren Zayden, Rosalie, Charley, and Gwen, will forever cherish his memory.

Chuck is predeceased by his parents, Gladys Jeffers and Walter Day Beaman. In celebrating Chuck’s life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives, his love for the water, and the enduring legacy of a man who embraced each day with happiness and strength.

May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the waves he loved and the warmth of the memories he created.
