Obituary

Chad was known and loved by many. He leaves behind his father John Enstrom, mother Loretta LaBounty, brother Travis (Kessie) Enstrom and sisters Michelle (Keith) Sandland and Tiffani Peterson; his daughter Ellie Enstrom and former wife and longtime friend Sara Enstrom; and his loving partner in life Gena Unser. In addition, he is missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces and too many friends to mention.

Chad had a full life, complete with family, friends, and adventure. But his priority was his sweet daughter, Ellie, who he’d hoped he could pass on his best wisdom and experiences to. He would reminisce of taking her to her various after-school activities, bowling, and fishing, but was most proud of her interest and efforts in dance.

His greatest wish was that she’d continue to accomplish the goals she sets for herself all throughout her life.

Like his daughter, Chad was fantastic at obtaining plenty of his own goals, starting with hobbies. As a bowler, Chad traveled and competed in tournaments for personal drive, but he also truly enjoyed a good game alongside fellow teammates on league night just the same! He enjoyed a good competition in golf, but also looked forward to fresh air, blue sky, and all the conversations along the way. And of course, slow pitch was an exciting part of his life; he felt like a winner just having the opportunity to play. Outdoor adventures had a different call for Chad. He loved an occasional goose hunt and always hoped to, “have a ton of fun and relaxation, and hopefully go home with dinner.”

Lastly, Chad may be best known for his unmatched work ethic as an Occupational Safety Manager. He started fresh every morning with the best of intentions. Achievements in safety management took him from working for the small tracks and racing teams, then up and on to building construction, then finally oil refineries around the U.S. – he always wanted everyone to get back home, every day, safe and sound. He never stopped reaching toward another goal until the opportunity was abruptly taken from him…

A service is being planned for a later date. Please check back here for details.
