Obituary

Carolin S. Adams passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, in Bellingham, Washington, with her loving family by her side. She was 80 years old.

Carolin was born on March 10, 1945, in Seattle, Washington, to Silven and Thelma Moench. She grew up on Bainbridge Island, where she attended Bainbridge Island High School. She began her family there, where her daughters were born. In 1970, she moved everyone to her beloved farm on Samish Way.

In Bellingham, Carolin met Howard Adams in the early 1980s. The two quickly fell in love and married on May 25, 1985. Carolin worked at Visiting Nurse for many years and later ran Adams Property Management alongside her husband, Howard.

Carolin was known for her sense of humor and a special hand gesture her family lovingly called her “driving finger.” She had a unique ability to read her books anywhere, anytime. A passionate thrifter who believed in making the most of everything, she curated many wonderful collections.

She deeply loved her friends and family and was especially proud to be a great-grandmother. Carolin enjoyed gardening, baking bread, collecting cookbooks, and spending time with her beloved dogs. She never passed up a chance to greet a furry friend – even if it was yours!

Carolin is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Howard Adams; her daughter, Cynthia Larrance Hollinsworth (Mike); her stepson, Chad Adams (Sarah); and her stepdaughter, Krista Adams Swanson (Mike). She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Chris Hollinsworth (Areca), Heidi Hollinsworth (Aeron), Rachel Hollinsworth (Zak), Madison Swanson, and Martin Adams; and two great-grandsons, Levi Hollinsworth and Wyatt Hollinsworth.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Caprice Larrance Davis.

A memorial will be held on June 6th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Dr., Bellingham, WA.
