Obituary

Carol Louise (Matz) Lingbloom, 88 years of age, passed away October 11, 2021. She was born July 2, 1933 in Bellingham and lived her entire life in Ferndale. Carol was the eldest of 3 children born to Paul and Marion Matz. She attended Ferndale schools, graduating from Ferndale High School in 1951 and marrying her high school sweetheart, Charles “Lindy” Lingbloom in 1953, and together they raised 4 children. Carol worked as an aide in the Ferndale school district for 19 years and enjoyed hiking, fellowship with church friends, and watching her children and grandchildren on the sporting fields and theater stage. She was preceded in death by her husband Lindy, her parents, eldest son Terry, and brother John Matz. She is survived by her sister Paula LaRose, sister-in-law Linda Matz, daughter Tina (Bruce) Blizard, daughter-in-law Heather Lingbloom, sons Torry (Rose) and Todd (Debbie) Lingbloom, grandchildren Jennifer (Andrew) Dorman, Emily (Porter) Lumpkins, Andrew (Phyllis), Tyler, Tanner, Tessa, Joshua and Ashley Lingbloom, as well as three great-grandchildren. No service will be held.
