Obituary

Carmen Estelle Fox passed away on June 26, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Carmen was born on June 12, 1967, in Bellingham, Washington to Robert Taylor and Dida Redlightning.

She was an amazing woman who loved and cared for everybody. Carmen has 6 kids who she cherished with everything she had. Mom’s favorite saying to us was “Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome.” That is what we live by, and what we do with every curve ball life throws at us, we hear her saying that. Mom loved to keep up on her lifetime movies and enjoyed coloring. She loved hanging out with her family and barbequing. Watching her children and grandkids is what made her world spin. She fought so long not only for herself but for her family.

Her longtime mate Lance Jones Sr. was her first love as a teenager, and they found their way back to each other as adults and gave each other moms little miracle Lakota Jones.

She will be missed by so many as she became ‘mom’ to everybody.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 2, at 9:00am at Moles Ferndale with funeral services to follow at 10:00am.
