Obituary

Camille Doede

Camille Doede passed away peacefully July 11, 2012, at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, WA.

Carmela (Camille) Valleriani was born in Pittsburg, PA on November 29, 1927, to Dominic and Rose Valleriani. Camille loved jazz, big band, gospel, and country and was an excellent dancer and even taught dance in her early adult years. Her family remembers her most for her fabulous Italian cuisine, especially her macaroni soup and spaghetti sauce. As a Christian believer, she faithfully attended Covenant Baptist Church in Troy, MI. and had close friends there.

In 2007 Camille suffered a massive stroke, leaving her unable to walk, so she chose to leave her home in Michigan to come to Washington to be closer to some of her family who reside there.

She will be missed by her children JoLee Fisher-Karshens, Don Roth, Virginia Roth, Robert Doede, her grandchildren Ken McDonald, Kortney McDonald, Kim Wisdom, Chancellor Karshens, Maria Roth, Rebecca Pen, Emma Doede, her fifteen great grandchildren, and greeted in His Kingdom by her deceased daughter, Janet Doede.

She will be remembered for her Italian feistiness, for fierce loyalty to family and her compassionate heart.

Many of us resonate with the sentiments expressed by Rebecca, Camilles grand-daughter: We should all have that one person who knows how to bless us; Mom (Grandma) was that person to me.

You may make memorial contributions in Camilles name to World Vision at http://donate.worldvision.org.
