Obituary

Bobby Jerry Mills, age 75, of Custer, WA, passed away on January 21, 2020. He was born September 15, 1944 in Gray, Kentucky to Isaac and Mary (Williams) Mills. He married the love of his life Betty Charlene Cosner on October 26, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan. Bobby served in the Army from 1968 – 1970. He was a proud and simple man who was funny, ornery and quick witted.  His favorite hobby was working in his yard. Bobby worked at Home Base for 4 years then going to Home Depot in the plumbing department where he worked for the last 18 years. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Mclean; granddaughter Siobhan (Nick) Reynolds; great-grandson Mason Reynolds; granddaughter Kiki Heitzman; sisters Pat Bolton, Joyce Rolston and Sue Haake; brother Don Mills and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Betty Charlene Mills; his parents Isaac Mills and Mary Catherine Weitzeil; brothers Chuck Mills and Frank Mills and sister Lois Cordle. His family will remember him for being an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Also, for sharing stories of his childhood, family, time in the military, his participation in the Free Masons and talking politics.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I worked with him for some years at Home Depot in the plumbing dept. He was a great guy; friendly, good sense of humor, and taught me much.

  2. We were very shocked and extremely saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss of Jerry. We were to see him for the first time in years in February and we were very much looking forward to it. He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed. He was well loved! Rest easy Jerry… say hello to everyone we’ve lost. We love and miss you all!
