Obituary

Blanche (“Grammy”) Virginia Dennis, age 91, passed away October 26, 2017, in Bellingham, Washington. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loyal, honest woman who was so full of life and “loved hard and bad.” She was a natural leader and the rock of her family. Grammy, as she was lovingly called, was an amazing cook, and was famous for her delicious BLT sandwiches on Uncle Kenny’s kind of bread. She had so much fun casino-hopping and playing dice, and loved spending time in the garden tending her rose bushes. She was generous and gracious, and gave the best hugs in the world!

Blanche is preceded in death by husband Kenneth E. Dennis, father Alfred Longley, mother Anna Montana, brother James W. Longley, sister Verla Ann Longley, and sister Verna Pearson.

She is survived by her children Kenneth Dennis, Sherrie (William) Large, Sandra (Larry) Hemmingson, and Terry (Janice) Ayer; her sister Agnes Kinsley; grandchildren Myrna (Rick) Zamora, Melanie (Darin) Hand, Melissa (Dave) Mally, Melinda (Warren) Hemmingson-Cole, Daniel (Rachel) Hemmingson, Marcus (Sara) Large, Nicholas (Shannon) Dennis, Ashley Large, Christopher Dennis; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
