Obituary

Beverly Swope passed away at hospice house in Kennewick Washington on January 10, 2023 with her husband and children by her side. She was born in Bellingham Washington to Irene and George and attended school in Meridian District.

Beverly worked as a waitress and manager at the (family owned) hilltop cafe in her younger years. She also helped manage apartments and storage units with her husband. She had 5 children early in life. On Jan. 19, 1979 she married Clifford Swope, between her and Cliff they now had 8 children.

Beverly loved to travel with Clifford. She loved the times she lived in AK, the Turner side of her family are Native Alaskan and she loved her times there, especially with Cliff. She also loved getting together with family at Christmas and Thanksgiving. She and Cliff loved to sit on the deck at home and watch the birds and greet passers-by. They also loved to play Yahtzee together and enjoyed playing the slot games at the casino. Beverly was a very social person. She lit up anytime a baby was around- even in the grocery store- she just HAD to stop and ask to see the baby.

Beverly leaves behind her husband Clifford, her children Scott, Geneé, Jeffrey, Melanie, and Lyle, stepchildren Tracie, Tammie, and Tony, sister Patty Holz, and her uncle, Frank Turner (mom adored him and his wife Mary-Jo)  She is Pre-deceased by her mother Irene Sooter, father George Russell, and brothers George Russell, Jr., and Larry Russell.

She will be dearly missed.
