Obituary

Beverly Borg completed her battle with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrigs disease) in her home surrounded by family and friends on September 3, 2013. Bev was a free spirit that cared for everyone in her path. She was strong willed yet tender hearted and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Bev was born in Bellingham, WA on October 1, 1943 and has resided in Whatcom County throughout her life. She is a class of 62 Bellingham HS graduate and went on to work at the First Washington Net Factory and retired from Samson Rope in 2009. Bev loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener and a member of the Mt. Baker Hiking Club. She also enjoyed square dancing as a member of the Rainbow Squares. Fellow crafters joined her on Mondays for some creative time (Craft Club) which turned into friendship time after A.L.S. set in. Bev spent her evenings with the love of her life, sometimes out on the town or at the casino, as he was always there to say goodnight and was devoted to the very end.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lafreniere, her mother, Margaret Lafreniere, and two brothers, Ronald and Richard Lafreniere. She is survived by her beloved, Paul Lovelace, her son, Michael Jordan, daughter, Ronda Arntzen, and son, Mark Jordan (Aimee); her brother Larry Lafreniere; and her three grandchildren, Thomas Arntzen, Adam Arntzen, and Megan Jordan.
