Beverly Wood age 75 of Ferndale, Wa passed away 4/30/2015. Beverly was born on June 28th, 1939 in Bellingham to Willard, and Ina Sager. Beverly was proceeded in death by her husband Charles Wood, her sister Marion Martin, brother Donald Sager, and stepson Paul Hettervig. She is survived by her sons Jeff (Sandra)Schnackenberg , and Greg Schnackenberg. Her brothers; Frank, Robert (Jan), James (Audrey), Kenneth (Louise), Harvey(Joan), and Ralph Sager. Her stepchildren Dianne Blakesley, Debbie Wood, and Don Wood. Her grandchildren; Colby, Kim , Christian , and Corrine as well as great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
There will be a memorial service on May 14th at 2:00 PM at Ferndale Moles located at 2039 Main Street.

I have such fond memories of Bev and her sons. They were our neighbors on Portal Way in Ferndale. What I loved most about Bev was her sense of humor. She always kept us laughing — such a big personality and heart. She also was unafraid to experiment with parenting techniques. I remember my mom made my brother and me (as punishment) hug each other on the front porch so that passing cars could see. That was our punishment because Bev had made her sons do it, and it apparently worked. Looking back, it was genius on her part. To Greg and Jeff, so sorry for your mother’s passing. What a blessing she was to so many.

To Jeff and Greg and all Beverly’s family, I want to wish peace and comfort through the Lord in your time of grief. Though our loved ones go to a better place, we will miss them. Bev was a fun loving person and had a gift of gab that warmed ones heart. She was a good sister-in-law and a good friend and classmate. I will miss her.
