Obituary
Barbara F. Miller, age 81, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Bellingham, Washington. She is survived by her loving husband James (Jim) Miller, her children, Linda Swartos of Lynden, Richard (Rick) Weatherby of Everett, Sharon Weatherby of Blaine, Keith Miller of Dripping Springs, TX and Kimbra Miller of Bellingham, 6 grandchildren, cousins Sandra Pedersen of Denver, CO, Tana Honeycutt of Bellingham, Ray Olson of Ferndale and her grand-dog, Ka’e.
Barbara was born and raised on the Miller family farm by her grandmother, uncles and aunts in Custer, WA. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday and Bible school. She was involved in the Cub Scouts, 4-H and Bluebirds organizations with her children. Barbara and her husband, Jim traveled extensively throughout the US, spending much of their time with family in Texas and “Snow-birding” in Arizona.
Barbara will be remembered as a loving mother, not only to her children, but to many others who were blessed with her care, all of whom will miss her open arms, charming sense of humor and affectionate “love you.” Her final resting place will be at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Sunday, July 30 at Zion Lutheran Church, 7215 Valley View Rd. Ferndale WA.
