Obituary

August was born on September 14, 1959 in Peru, Illinois to August Sr. and Madeline Sadnick. He graduated from Meridian High School.

August enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. His most recent trip was going cross county in his motorhome. He was an amazing cook, handyman, and a lover of animals. Always a helper, August would volunteer in the kitchen at Evergreen Community Church, where he was a member, and also at other local churches. His sarcastic sense of humor will be missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, August H. Sadnick Sr. and Madeline Ecalbarger, and his brother, Daniel Sadnick.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Sadnick; sister, Cindy Mohr; granddaughter, Ava Martinez; grandson, Jaxon Yoder; step-brothers, Gary and Monty Ecalbarger; step-father, L.Ray Ecalbarger; and his close friend, Mercedes Arce.

A graveside committal will take place on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00PM at Enterprise Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00PM at Evergreen Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Evergreen Community Church.

    So very sorry to hear of Augie’s passing. He was a wonderful uncle to my kids while they were growing up, hearing his chuckle as he goofed around playing with them like he was another one of the kids. He was always there to lend a hand with his vast knowledge of so many different type of repairs, and a kind and caring heart for those around him.
