  1. So sad I never had the privilege of meeting Audrey in person. Her company did our roof. It was first class, just as she was. Very professional.

Dear Audrey’s family….I thought I would copy and post my Facebook mention for you to remember. Your mom was a dear dear person, and loved her spunk. She was a great mentor to me.

It is with great sadness, I just found out a really great inspiration and mentor, a co-member of Whatcom Women in Business for many years, Audrey Borders has passed away on 6/20. She was so inspiring, had such spunk, did not take any crap from anyone, and on the other side, was the nicest person you ever knew. I don’t know if I have met a women business owner that cared so much about community as Audrey did. She started the scholarship program at Whatcom Women in Business and today I believe that program provides great scholarships to at least 20 women a year. I know she also was a part of some amazing things at BIA as well. Thanks Audrey for teaching me not to take crap, and to stand up and be strong and have my voice heard. With your business being right down the street from mine, we would spend hours talking at the front counter about solving the world’s problems! RIP Audrey.

  3. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Aunt Audrey can now be with her beloved. She was a strong, smart, independent woman who I respected. I will cherish all of my memories with her. She is gone but will not be forgotten. I pray the family will find comfort during this difficult time. Remember all the good times these pictures represent. I wish I could be there to say goodbye. Love, Di Lan

  4. We are sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was so special! We will cherish the memories the times we shared as a family and our conversations but most of all her beautiful laugh. She is now at peace smiling down on her family that meant so much and how proud she was of each one. Her spirit lives on.

  5. I am deeply saddened to learn of Audrey’s death. We worked together in California at Miller Laboratories. I think I was the one who got her interested in moving to Bellingham. We always had fun together. I wish we had had more contact in recent years. I will miss knowing she is here. My sincere sympathy to her family.Georgia Heald
