Obituary

Archie Gordon Pullar, age 91, passed away on December 17, 2021 in Bellingham, WA on December 17, 2021. Archie was born on March 16, 1930 in Bellingham, WA to Gordon Pullar and Florence Beringer. He lived in Bellingham, Wickersham, Deming, Sedro Woolley, Concrete, Winthrop, and the Burlington area, all his life. He went to Bellingham High School and graduated in 1949. Archie had 2 children with his first wife, Rosey and Mike. He was remarried in 1971 to Ollie Raines, and they were together until Ollie passed in June of 2011.

Archie started working in the timber industry with his father at an early age. Archie was hardworking and unwavering in his support of the logging community. He was one of the founding members of the Deming Log Show in 1962 which he continued to support throughout his life. In recognition of his dedication, Archie was honored to be President in 1969, and was awarded Bull of the Woods in 2001 and won the Golden Axe in 2013. Throughout his life, Archie had many friends and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his brother Gordy Pullar, stepchildren Cindy and Keith, and three grandchildren: William, Johnathan, and Judy. He is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Florence, his brother Rod, his sister Gloria, and his two children Rosey and Mike.

Services will be held this spring. Archie will be laid to rest beside his wife and his daughter at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA.
