Obituary

Anna Mae Roedell, of Bellingham, passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013. She was 75 years old. Anna was born June 20th, 1937 to Evan and Lavina Horn in Sumas, Washington.
Anna graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1955 and went on to a career in real estate with being self employed at Pacific Coast Reality, as well as working with the Northwest Rental Owners Association and previously working as a bookkeeper for Sound Pacific Resources and Olympic Center. Anna also worked at the Whatcom County Auditors office. She was a savvy business woman who knew how to get things done. Anna took great pleasure in holidays and family and friend gatherings, enjoyed baking and organizing, and spending time with her dogs. She also liked music and going out dancing.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gregory Scott Roedell in 2001. She is survived by her brother Gene (Marilyn) Horn of Ferndale, sons, Steve and Mark Roedell of Bellingham; daughter Shari (Allan) Gitts of Ferndale; granddaughters, Nicole (Kris) Spaur of Ferndale, Michelle (Kelly) Wilson of Presidio, TX, Vanessa Roedell of Bellingham, Jenee Faulkner of Bellingham, and Lexi Erickson; great grandchildren Kadyn, Laney, and Rylan; and a niece Debbie Horn and nephew David Horn.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Whatcom County Humane Society or the American Heart Assc.

Farewell Tribute Information

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, at 2:00 PM at Moles Greenacres Funeral Home, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale. Donations Information

  1. I was so sorry to hear of Anna Mae’s passing. My heart felt condolences to the family. I realize this is late, but I just heard and wanted to pay my respects.
