Obituary

Angela Lorraine was born January 1, 1954 to Robert and Eva (Kelly) Flanery in Great Falls, MT. She was the New Year’s baby for Great Falls that year.

In March 1968, our family moved to Bellingham where she met her best friend of 47 years, Nancy (Zollner) Mershon, and they graduated from Bellingham High School.

Angela loved to dance. She was a talented ballet dancer and did ballroom competitions. She was known for her knitting/crocheting skills and her epic Christmas cookie trays. She loved movies, music, cooking, and reading. She had a deep love for all children and they adored her back. She was quiet, kind, and had a lively sense of humor.

Angela was preceded in death by our father, Robert, in 1988 and our stepfather, Roger, in 2004. She is survived by: her mother, Eva Sattler; her children: Lance Flake (Wendy), Janelle Burrow, and Jason Flake; her grandchildren: Tyler Burrow, Brycen Burrow, Addy Burrow, and Makenzie Flake; her siblings: Brian Flanery (Theresa), Doneva Froberg (Douglas), Melissa Flanery, and Rebecca Flanery (Darrin York); many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and her ex-husband, Dennis Flake.

  1. We were so sad to hear of Angela’s passing. She was such a wonderful person. Jack, Vicky and I had planed on driving out this summer to see everyone since it has been such a long time but with Jack’s passing we never made it. Our love, prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. We know how much she’ll be missed.
