Obituary

Alida Francisco passed away at home on October 22, 2016. She was born January 7, 1936 to Edwin and Ann Erickson. She married Jim Raper on March 29, 1955. Together they helped start and grow Skagit Speedway from a small local racetrack to an internationally known speedway. She continued to help run Skagit after Jim’s death on June 7, 1984. She married Dean Francisco on September 28, 1985. Together they enjoyed travelling, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Jim, sister Carol (Ray) and son John. She is survived by her husband Dean, son Alan (Kim), daughters Karen, Dawn and Sandi (Manuel), ten grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. At Alida’s request there will be private family services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Whatcom Hospice, St. Joseph’s Cancer Center, or the American Cancer Society.
