Obituary
Alice M. Grenier, age 95, passed away in Bellingham on April 23, 2016. She was born on August 15, 1920 in Wenatchee, WA to C.C. & Gladys Gooding. Alice attended the UW, where she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. As a young woman she worked for PNW Bell and volunteered for the March of Dimes. Alice was a longtime member of the Bellingham Golf & Country Club where she loved to play a round or two. Alice could work magic in the kitchen both as a cook and a baker. Her favorite times were when the family was all gathered together. She and her husband, C.B., who preceded her in death, were married for 59 years. Alice will be dearly missed. She is survived by daughters Sue (Wayne) Dralle, & Sharon (Mark) Jordan; granddaughters Rita (Jeff) Blair, & Renae (Paul) Ingraham; grandsons Jesse (Mindi) Jordan, and Brett Jordan; and great-grandchildren Josh & Kate Blair, and Cole & Nate Ingraham. Alice’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Mt. Baker Care Center and Hospice. At Alice’s request, there will be no services.

To Sue- So sorry to hear of your mom’s death…but happy that she is no longer in pain or in a state of confusion that makes it hard for those who love her to deal with. Many of us know the heartache & relief you are now going through.Love all the pictures that you posted. Walk down memory lane for us all. Never realized how much Renee looks like her. Also, did not know where you got your cooking skills :).
To Rita & Renee- Praying that happy memories of your grandma fill the void of her not being here with you [but she always will be in spirit!!!]
To Sharon- Know that we are also praying for you also.
And, to all the many others that love Alice- Please know that all of the above applies to you the ‘many’. Death is never easy…but letting you all know that Alice is proof of a “life well lived”.
RIP Alice Grenier & your spirit will always be with those enjoying Birch Bay.

Sue and Family,Sue, I’m now kicking myself that I didn’t go and see Alice. I kept saying I would and I just never got there. No excuses either.
Bud and Alice were the nicest people. I always felt at home in their presence.
I have very fond memories of your parents. Certainly of all the teasing that Bud and I did.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
If there is anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to call. You know I’ll be there in a flash.
