Hanson, Alfred Gene, Age 83, Passed away Wednesday August 6, 2014 in Bellingham, WA. Gene was born on December 15, 1930 in Seattle, WA to Judson S. & Althea L. (Rensberger) Hanson. He had 4 children by a previous marriage. On February 28, 1976 he married Patricia D. (Pat) Lewis in Spokane, WA. Gene joined the Air Force in 1951 and became a Jet Engine Technician. He retired after 24 years as a Master Sergeant on Dec 31, 1975. He was a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, 33 degree, Cordell Lodge #127 from Cordell, Oklahoma. He loved to camp, fish and enjoy the outdoors in his RV. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jay Hanson, Mary Jones, his wife Pat, his brothers: Alvin Hanson, Bob Hanson and his youngest son Jim Hanson. Gene is survived by 6 children: Chuck Hanson, Lynnwood, WA, Cindi Grant, Newport, WA, Karen (Jim) Pantoleon, Ferndale, WA, Karl (Becky) Hanson, Spokane, WA, Bill (Dawne) Cowmeadow, Rosamond, CA, Pam (Tim) Halderman, Everson, WA, 2 sister in-laws, 14 Grand Childen & 11 Great-grandchildren, as well as numerous Nieces & Nephews.

    hey buddy i would of been there if i knows your service was today i found out this afternoon after work it was in todays paper i b rought u a solar light a butterfly for u youre parents your son and pat too fly above us thank yhou for everthing spending time with my family and me you love youre family so much when pam was sick u always brought minkos soup watch the dog when she was away xmas eve was a sleep over trying to hang up karens mirra at her new place enjoyingh when the kids came over to work on the house pat and you were godsent it rain today the last few times you were crying than it sunshine we all miss you but youre with the people you love thank you for being my friend and always thinking of outhers cindy ashley jason mom gerry
