Obituary

Alec Austin Peters, age 23, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Bellingham, Washington.

Alec was born in Kirkland, Washington on May 5, 1997 to parents Darrell and Kara Peters. He graduated from Tiger Mountain High School in Issaquah and went on to become a manager at McDonald’s.

Alec always had a passion for music. He loved listening to everything and was always eager to play his favorites for friends. He loved to DJ and attend music festivals whenever he could. He also loved hanging out with his friends and skateboarding.

Alec was loving, compassionate, genuine, comforting, and always there for his friends. His smile was contagious, and his eyes were so striking and beautiful. He adored animals, especially cats. He had so many t-shirts with cats on them! He had an adventurous spirit and was fascinated by the natural word. He truly appreciated his surroundings and saw beauty in everything. He was especially captivated by brilliant sunsets, the moon, and the stars in the sky.

Alec is preceded in death by his father Darrell Jay Peters of Sammamish, WA, and his grandparents Jane and Elmer Peters of Sammamish, WA.

Alec is survived by his mother Kara Peters-Ballard, stepfather Lance Ballard, brothers Mason Peters and Paxton Ballard, all of Nashville, TN; grandparents Don and Julia Webster of Jackson, TN; grandparents Jim and Kathy Johnson of Union City, TN; and step-grandparents Sharon and Jerel Ballard of Ripon, WI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Lake Pavillion – 25103 SE 24th St. Sammamish, WA 98075.
