Obituary

Adrian Heggem, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Whatcom Hospice House.

Adrian was born on May 8th, 1944, in Bellingham. He graduated from Bellingham High School, class of 1962. Adrian worked for Vitafoods from 1966 to 1976 and for ARCO from 1976 and retired from BP in October 2004.

Adrian is survived by his children, Lori Heggem, Cari Miller (Brad) and Allan Heggem (Regan) and his sister, Heidi Chervenock (Larry) ; his grandchildren Kaleb Aswegan, Sam Aswegan, Oliver Aswegan, Camryn Miller, Piper Miller, Sammy Sheppard, Isabella Heggem and Juniper Heggem; neices and nephews Mike Heggem, Anne Marth, Eric Heggem, Charlie Heggem and Kara Schuetz; and many grand neices and nephews.
Adrian enjoyed crabbing in Bellingham Bay with his friends, auto racing, classic and antique cars, and Nascar races. Quick in wit and first to deliver a joke, Adrian took great enjoyment in various practical jokes on his friends and family. He had a love for labs and especially his four-legged grandkids who loved to see “Grandpa H” for treats. Adrian had many good friends – who he enjoyed sharing a beer and a laugh. We could always count on Adrian for a good story.

Adrian is preceded in death by his parents, Henet and Irene Heggem and his brother, Norrin Heggem.

May I offer my sympathy to the dear loving Family and Friends of Adrian. He will be remembered a long time by all who knew and loved him. Hopefully you will have comfort and peace from the Bible Verses that follow. Rev21:4-5,6 “AND HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES AND DEATH WILL BE NO MORE FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY.”

  2. Oh how I loved to RAZ Adrian! I would hug him everytime I saw him and he would become his cranky self with a smirk because I knew deep down inside he loved the attention. So sorry for your loss. We enjoyed each others company on occasion. Thinking of you Lori and family.

  3. Rest in peace buddy, Mylo’s on his way, a couple more and we can have a decent card game.
